Engagement Celebrations! Went out to dinner with two of our bessie mates for tapas and Wedding-talk, casual and cosy:
Patisserie sheer shirt (ASOS) - I completely love this shirt, it's lightweight and is covered in sweet treats, cakes and pastries. Just reminds me of Tea Parties a la Alice in Wonderland, or that amazing book 'Pass The Jam Jim'
Skinny jeans, turned up
Brown low cut brogues - these aren't real leather, they're cheapo ones, but they're comfy and since they're inexpensive I also have them in white, black and nude! (Bought about 4 years ago)
Had a lovely night chatting about ideas and plans, eating chorizo and goats cheese balls (a particular vice of a certain friend of mine!) <3

Cider inside 'er insides
Heading out to a friend's Birthday (to play cider-pong!) but not out into town, so decided to wear something more casual than my usual going-out stuff...
Mint green gingerbread shirt dress from ASOS. It has little gingerbread men printed all over it, and it's sleeveless so quite light when it's warm out. It would probably look good with a nice big bow-tie but it was too hot to wear a high collar.
Black jersey boyfriend style blazer with grey turn up cuffs. This is a pretty standard throw-on blazer so I wear it quite often.
Black skinny belt with flower buckle (from River Island or Next... can't remember)
Black Jack Wills long length leggings
Black scrunched leather ankle boot with studded toe caps (from Office). I love these boots but I don't wear them very often as they're kind of loose at the top so I find it hard to choose what they'll go with. Maybe skinny jeans in the winter would be better, but they are comfy.

The Garden of Eden
I was shooting a Noah & The Whale (supported by The Vaccines) gig last week at The Eden Project, which is honestly the best music venue ever - it's absolutely beautiful there. It was raining and I needed to be comfy, so here's what I wore...
Blue and white stripe knicker shorts from ASOS with navy Jack Wills leggings (as per usual!)
Jack Wills sailing tshirt - I bought this in Salcombe when we went to my friend Jub's Wedding last year. It has turned up sleeves and is nice and slouchy
A denim shirt with the cuffs rolled up so they didn't get in the way of using the camera
Accessories - a navy bandana, my Seiko Formula 1 watch (present from my Dad), some leather bracelets and the all important photo-pit wristbands from The Eden Sessions.
Footwear (not pictured) before it was raining I had some pinstripe trainers from Superdry on, but as the downpour looked imminent I switched into Merrell waterproof walking shoes. They're not pretty but they are better than soggy feet!

Peep my Prints
Wedding Belles
So this is what I wore to the OH's Brother's wedding last weekend. Decided to change for the evening part as we were in a hotel down the road from the venue, so there are two dresses!
Day:
Blue and white tulip dress with capped frill sleeves (ASOS) with a white skinny belt
White lace platform heels (ASOS)
Cream loop fascinator (Ben De Lisi at Debenhams)
Cream and snakeskin clutch (River Island)
I chose the dress (after trying on about a million others) because it was lightweight and comfy, and was worried it might be a little short/casual but I think it came out okay. It's probably going to become an event staple as it's easy to wear and easy to get accessories for.
Night:
Navy chiffon shirt collar dress (sleeveless, ASOS)
Silver platform heels (ASOS)
Silver skinny belt
Silver bow tie (ebay)
Pewter bead bracelets and a magnifying glass necklace
Evening outfit was entirely based on it being light as the room got pretty hot once more people turned up and started dancing (and I began to consume alcohol, haha). I really like the bow-tie but I'm not so sure everyone else thought it was as natty, HA! Oh well, you've got to wear what you want, right?

Teenage Kicks
Grey Friday evening. Not feeling very chipper obviously.
Tortoise-shell style glasses
Stonewash denim button-up shirt
Unicorn T-shirt (from Bestival)
Floral chiffon shorts (from ASOS)
Black leggings (Jack Wills)
Blue gingham lace up trainers (Vans)
This is a pretty thrown-together outfit, I just needed something that was going to be comfortable to travel in and not too hot as it was really muggy outside that day. The chiffon shorts are really cute and lightweight, they also have an elasticated waistband so you could tuck a nice shirt into them as well. The denim shirt is a wardrobe staple but you've gotta be careful throwing it on last minute, or else accidental double denim... it's an issue! I suppose this outfit is sort of a foray into the clothing of an 80's/90's teenage girl.
