Raccoon City

Ohh how I love a cool day! Now that the weather is turning I can wear far more interesting layered outfits without boiling to death, it's awesome. We were heading into town for a little lunch and shopping, but I didn't really want to get out of my joggers, so this was a comfort compromise - the whole thing is very easy to wear and smart enough at the same time. This outfit is inspired by... steam train drivers and wildlife.

Shirt: Raccoon print baggy shirt from ASOS (completely in love with this, it's so cute and I caught a lot of people admiring it all day).

Waistcoat: Navy stiff wool from Joules

Skirt: Straight denim from Animal

Leggings: Navy JW

Trainers: Converse laceless sand camo

Accessories: Cheap glasses from Primark, Silver Spoon necklace from ASOS

So we went over to OH's parents house for the weekend and they took us out for dinner to a lovely little French restaurant (I had delicious crayfish) but I did the entirely stupid thing of taking only one dress option with me to choose from, for the evening. Duh. Anyway, during the day we popped into Merry Hill mall, which was insanely crowded and busy (his family call it 'Merry Hell') to do a bit of shopping, and I picked up this dress/tunic thing from Primark for a mere £12! It's burgundy with a shift style body and chiffon sleeves. It was lightweight and comfy and the colour is bang on autumn trend (trust me, the shelves will all be brimming with maroons and purples this season).

Black leggings from Jack wills

Nude coloured brogues

Black belt with flower buckle

Gold and silver moustache bracelets and 'a' watch (both ASOS)
